1.     I plan to exit the market and sell in the next 5 years. Before I do this though I will need to expand my market a little more rather than just keeping my service on one campus. If I can get my service on most of the University across the united states then I will have a better offer for this business which I will most likely accept.
2.     I selected this strategy so that I do not have to pay attention to the service anymore. I created this service partly because I am in college but once I am out I will not understand what the next need is.
3.     I never thought of my exit strategy until now so I don’t believe that it has influence my other decisions. It has influence my growth intentions because I would like to make a large profit from this service which will only happen if it is produced on more campuses.

  1. Hey Alex, I thought your exit strategy was interesting and it is something that I can understand, as running the business and transitioning it into a global business can be quite an endeavor to overcome, and I can see a lot of people selling it there, as they just do not where to go from there. The plan to expand to other college campuses is a no brainier, and seeing as how this idea is something that is desired from so many people on campus, this is a business that can be very huge, which will lead to a huge return for you.

  2. Hey Alex,
Your exit strategy is very similar to mine, building up a business in order to sell it down the line for a large profit margin. And I believe that it's a smart move as you can gain a lot from the buy out and then not have to worry about it afterwards. You may want to think about getting royalties of equity in the company you're selling if you believe that the company that's buying it will keep it going. This way you will continue to earn passive income.

  3. Hi Alex,

I think that is a really smart idea to expand your market a bit more before selling. I can see why you would want to sell because once you graduate college it would be hard to stay up to date on what the market is like on college campuses when you aren’t a part of it anymore. Good idea.
