2-A Bug list


  1. People driving below the Speed limit
    1. This bugs exist because some people may be old or do not know where they are going which makes them drive slower.
  2. Scooters passing me in the same lane
    1. This bug exist because for some reason people who drive scooters on campus believe that they do not have to abide by car laws and think that if they can squeeze past someone then they should. The fact is this is extremely dangerous and accidents have happened because one scooters does not know that another scooter is right next to them.
  3. Slow service at restaurants
    1. This bug exist because people get tired down at their day to day job because of this they pay less attention to detail which then makes me frustrated and causes slow service.
  4. Slow Internet speed during use
    1. This bug exist simply because my roommates use the internet as much as I do. This is also a problem with the Cox internet we have may not have a lot of capability to work as well when multiple users are on it.
  5. People being late to meet me
    1. This exist because people have little sense of time especially among friends. There is a sense that when someone gives a specific time they believe that showing up on time is "weird" which is wrong. 
  6. Having to rely on unorganized people for assignments or group work
    1. This exist because when being paired up with random group members in class some people do not take care of their own work which then affects people in the group they are working with. This becomes an issue because people that are organized like myself then have to rely on their work in order to get full credit for the project.
  7. People getting my order wrong at restaurants or fast food
    1. This bug exist like the slow service because people begin to lose site of their job and believe that they can do their job as quickly as possible without paying attention to detail.
  8. People talking over me
    1. This bug exist because some people think that their voice needs to be heard over mine. This happens within my friend group usually when someone thinks that what they need to say is more important than mine.
  9. Owing people money or favors
    1. This bug exist because sometimes when I think people are doing things because they are being nice but instead they believe that I then owe them something later on.
  10. People who are dependent and follow my actions or do not do an action unless I am also involved
    1. This is a bug because some people are indecisive and cannot make decision and follow my actions which is annoying. 
  11. Crowds of slow walking people 
    1. This is a bug because people are not paying attention to the task at hand which is getting from point A to point B. So many distractions like advertisements or phones are in the way so people walk slower because they are not focused.
  12. Long lines
    1. This is a bug because something is so valuable that there is a lot of people who want either the product or the experience which forms a line.
  13. Being told what to do by people others
    1. This bug exist because people know more about a topic than others and they insist on telling others to do an actions the way that they know best which is annoying sometimes.
  14. Rudeness 
    1. This bug exist because some people do not know what they are doing wrong and believe that they are not hurting anyones feelings but in reality they are not caring about anyone but themselves and do not pay attention to others.
  15. Cliques 
    1. This bug exist because people make friends and believe that they do not need to let anyone else within their friend group. This is annoying for others trying to make friends because those cliques do not want new comers within their group.
  16. Loud people 
    1. This is a bug because people do not realize the volume that they are producing sound at. People do not see or hear how loud they are being and some people have better hearing than others which makes them sound even louder to a certain audience.
  17. Men who think being violent is the way to show dominance and to get what they want
    1. This is a bug because men have a tendency to show dominance with violence which should not be the case in 2019. This bug will cause men not only to get hurt but to also get arrested for assault.
  18. The Deli section at Publix
    1. This is a bug because the lack of effort and adaptation within this deli section causes a line to form which then cause more frustration among the consumer causing them to not spend money for their product within the future.
  19. People who slurp drinks or soup
    1. This is a bug because it is not an efficient way to get the liquid within ones mouth. A side effect of this bug is that it is extremely annoying to the surrounding audience.
  20. People who chew with their mouth open
    1. This is a bug because it cause food to sometimes fly out of the chewers mouth which then becomes a hazard and a waste of food. This bug also has a side effect of annoying surrounding people.

Reflection
For the first few bugs within my life I did not find to be difficult. Once the day to day bugs were gone I still had 10 left which then made it more difficult for me to think of. I had to get creative become more descriptive like the men and violence example and the deli section. Now that I had this list it was somewhat difficult to come up with reason to why these exist because some of these bugs only exist for me and not for everyone. I was trying to stay on topic and not make this bug list about myself and hopefully I did this but that was the hardest part not putting my own sense within the explanation of why they are bugs instead of why they are bugs to me.

    Hi Alex!
    I really enjoyed reading your bug list because it looks like we have a lot in common when it comes to our annoyances. It seems like we are both the “type a” personality who prefer organization and timeliness. I too like getting things done in an efficient manner which is why slowness is one of my biggest pet peeves! Hopefully we can come up with some solutions to these “bugs” this semester.

After reading through all my post the one that sticks with me the most is the elevator pitch. Not only did I have to do this three times but I remember having some laughs with my roommates when they saw me all dressed up just to go in my room to record myself. I also liked this one the most because I believe that I am a good presenter and I like to practice those types of presentations whether it be about myself or a product. Opportunity: There is an unmet need for this opportunity within the University of Florida campus and other college campuses. The need is for parking on campus when driving to your designated classes or building. This opportunity will solve the need of easy parking because it will have coordinated parking schedules with the building and the schedule of the student or faculty. This opportunity has been a need for quite some time and the only way that UF is trying to solve it so far is by building more parking garages which is creating parking but not convenient to the students or staff. Innovation:  The service that I will provide a valet system that will help students, faculty, and staff park their cars in an orderly and quick fashion. 1.      I plan to exit the market and sell in the next 5 years. Before I do this though I will need to expand my market a little more rather than just keeping my service on one campus. If I can get my service on most of the University across the united states then I will have a better offer for this business which I will most likely accept. 2.      I selected this strategy so that I do not have to pay attention to the service anymore. I created this service partly because I am in college but once I am out I will not understand what the next need is. 3.      I never thought of my exit strategy until now so I don’t believe that it has influence my other decisions. It has influence my growth intentions because I would like to make a large profit from this service which will only happen if it is produced on more campuses.
