1.     The First Hurricane Relief Drone was Ready to Fly--- Then Dorian Hit
a.     Was browsing through my previous opportunities and one was the opportunity after a natural disaster for people that help.
b.     This is an opportunity because a natural disaster like Hurricane Dorian the aftermath is so large that insurance or other companies can thrive off disasters that will can provide aid after theses disasters.
c.     The customer to this opportunity of a drone that can help during a hurricane would be those who are being hit by the hurricane, for Dorian it would be the Bahamas.
d.     This opportunity is not so easy because when a natural disaster hits or is hitting there may be a lot of damage that sometimes can be irreplaceable such as families belongings and memories or even a loved ones life.
e.     I may have a different way of seeing this because myself and my family was effected by a Hurricane two years ago that left my house without power for 3 weeks if there was something that could have fixed it and help my family out quicker it would have been nice to have that opportunity.

New York State bans most flavors of e-cigarettes
a.     I saw this on TV and looked up the article.
b.     This is an opportunity because what made these e-cigarettes so popular to children and teens were the flavors. This is an opportunity for those who are addicted to the e-cigarettes which this ban will hopefully get them to quit because they will not have their flavor choices.
c.     The customers for this opportunity will be those who enjoys these flavors because they will be forced to stop using the flavors which will hopefully allow them to stop being addicted.
d.     This opportunity is also difficult because an addiction is always hard to overcome especially a nicotine addiction.
e.     I formed this belief because I have a friend who is addicted to e-cigarettes and friends that use other friends e-cigarettes because of the flavors. With this ban it will hopefully go nationwide and will help addicts help to quit in the future.

a. I found this looking for my other opportunities
b. This is an opportunity for the government on making money off of groceries to be used for something else like developing more technology or creating more roads.
c. the customer to this new tax would be the government who is receiving the tax money to be used for other use.
d. this opportunity sounds easy but will probably be hard because this tax bill has to be passed by the court system in order to be used.
e. I do not believe in this opportunity most likely because I do not want to spend more money on groceries and I think that this tax will not allow the government the have any extra money that they will use successfully. 

4. Has Trump actually done anything about drug prices?

a. This was found in an article in the Atlantic
b. this is an opportunity for the citizens of the United States because Trump stated that he was going to do something about the Health Care and Drug prices on day one but then never did. 
c. the customer of this opportunity would be United States citizen and the opportunity would be to realize what Trump had promised. Another customer would be those who needs health care because if they cannot afford it.
d. The opportunity could be easy for a sole person because all they have to do would be to vote against trump but it also wouldn't actually solve the problem because the health care prices would not change so therefore it would be a hard to exploit.
e. I believe that more than one person can see this as a problem as well. Health Care is always the same issue and every president is going to "fix it".

    Hi Alex,

    Great opportunities that are really important at the moment. I also talked about the E-cigarette ban in my list as well since it’s going to effect so many people our age who are addicted. I too have some friends who are addicted to e-cigarettes. I’m still trying to think of a solution to such a difficult problem — hopefully someone comes up with one soon!

    Hey Alex, I thought these were interesting findings, given the impact they could likely have in the future. I also found an article about drug pricing during my research, which reflects the importance of the pharmaceutical industry in our society, and proves that the industry is potentially facing some sort of change. I thought the finding about e-cigs was intriguing, as that will surely have an impact on a billion dollar industry.

    Hey Alex,

    I thought the opportunities you picked were very relevant and I took particular notice on the opportunity you listed regarding New York's decision to ban most flavors of e-cigarettes, there is a huge potential market for something new to take its place now that consumers of e-cigarettes have a very limited selection of products they can use to fulfill their cravings. And I hope you are right that whatever comes to take its place will help those that are addicted to ween off from the nicotine.

After reading through all my post the one that sticks with me the most is the elevator pitch. Opportunity: There is an unmet need for this opportunity within the University of Florida campus and other college campuses. The need is for parking on campus when driving to your designated classes or building. This opportunity will solve the need of easy parking because it will have coordinated parking schedules with the building and the schedule of the student or faculty. This opportunity has been a need for quite some time and the only way that UF is trying to solve it so far is by building more parking garages which is creating parking but not convenient to the students or staff. 1.      I plan to exit the market and sell in the next 5 years. Before I do this though I will need to expand my market a little more rather than just keeping my service on one campus. If I can get my service on most of the University across the united states then I will have a better offer for this business which I will most likely accept. 2.      I selected this strategy so that I do not have to pay attention to the service anymore. I created this service partly because I am in college but once I am out I will not understand what the next need is. 3.      I never thought of my exit strategy until now so I don’t believe that it has influence my other decisions. It has influence my growth intentions because I would like to make a large profit from this service which will only happen if it is produced on more campuses.
