1.  You.

I am a Senior as the University of Florida pursuing my bachelors degree in Sports Management. I am 21 years old and I am a part of the Swimming and Diving Varsity team at the University of Florida. I think of myself to be a very hard working, self motivated person who can get the job done right even if it takes me a couple of tries, I learn from those mistakes. I have experience in small odd jobs like waiter, busboy, and boat lift maintenance but no serious experience within my major. I put in a hundred percent effort in everything that I do because if I am doing something it means I care and should show that I care. My goal with my major is to work in a management position so that I can be a leader and motivate others the same way I motivate myself.

2. What are you offering to customers?

I am offering a service that will allow customers (college students and employees) to drive their vehicles to whichever building they need to be in and to give their keys to my team which will then park their car for them in a designated parking lot for that building. This service would act like a valet system for the buildings and for those who need to go there.

3. Who are you offering it to?

I am offering this service to the students and faculty of the University of Florida. This service would be provided for those students and employees who drive their cars or scooters/motorcycles to their job or classes.

4. Why do they care?

They care because there is already a shortage of parking spaces and it takes longer than expected to find a spot. Students and faculty often drive to work or school an hour before their class or job because it may take that long to find a spot, this will be eliminated with this service which will make students and faculty happier to drive to school and not have the hassle of parking themselves.

5. What are your core competencies?

This sets me apart from anyone because Universities are always building more and more parking lots but are running out of space that make them convenient to certain buildings. After people finally find a parking spot they usually have to take the bus anyways to get from the parking lot to their building, but this service will change that allowing people to get to their building faster and without the hassle of parking. People ideas to make parking better usually is just to add more parking or to add a service to get people from the parking lot to the building but this will do both and more allowing those who use the building to drive up and valet their car easily.

I believe that these five elements do work together. There is and has always been a need for a parking solution and the solution has always been the same. We are constantly making parking lots so this may be the newest solution and may show real results with its solution. A drawback to this is that is would cost a lot of money and would need a lot of employees for each building because if there is not enough man power for this service then there will be even more traffic than now.

    I think you made a great choice on choosing a service that is not only has a vast target audience, but is also something that you have a lot of experience in as a college student. A valet style service would fix many problems that UF students experience in terms of parking and I think you really took the mindset of the consumer in order to solve this problem. Great job!

    I have heard a lot of UF parking solution ideas and I think this is by far the most creative. I never thought about UF faculty struggling to find parking as well, way to think outside the box! I live off campus and have to go to campus early in the morning just to get a space. I would definitely use this service.
