Opportunity
 Within university campuses such as the University of Florida there has always been a struggle for parking for the students. As population grows the harder and harder to find open parking spaces. Even with the implementation of a decal system parking is still a scarcity on campus. Not only the students have a need for more parking but also the staff and faculty also struggles with this problem of parking. This has been a need for a while and the solution that has not been working has been simply building more parking garages. This works for a while but quickly becomes over populated again once more and more students become admitted into school. The campus is also running out of space to build these parking garages which means these garages are becoming further and further away. This opportunity for not only university of Florida campus but for all schools that struggle with parking is huge. The gator aider service will provide a new service that has never been implemented that could potentially solve this parking problem. The window of opportunity will be open for a long time because no school as solved this problem besides building more garages or implemented decal systems that do not solve the problem effectively.

Innovation
The service that I will provide a valet system that will help students, faculty, and staff park their cars in an orderly and quick fashion. How it works is valet employees will be stationed at major buildings and will drive the students, faculty, and staffs car to designated parking garages for that specific building. The student or staff member can drive up to the building and give their car over to trained employees to then drive their car to these parking lots. The lots will only allow the cars to stay for the amount of time the class is or for how long the staff member is working this will be enforced by a decal that will have the times allotted based on your schedule. The price in order to use this service would cost approximately 100$ which will replace the decal that is purchase now for 80$ a semester.

Venture Concept
 I believe that consumers would want this product rather than the product that stands now because I think my product will be more efficient which students and faculty would enjoy more rather than purchasing a decal and hoping that you will find a spot whereas my service guarantees a spot. There is not competitors for this product besides the bus system but that is free but is not as efficient to use as this service that will be provided. This service will be able to drive up to the building whereas the bus has specific stops that may not be close to the students class. To get this service running smoothly and efficiently I would need approximately 20 employees per station so that cars are not backed up and traffic does not get hectic on campus while waiting to be valeted. 

Three Minor Elements 
I believe that the secret sauce that I have is how efficient this product will work. Efficiency is money to some people, if they are wasting their time finding parking spaces then they are wasting money by missing class or being late to meetings. This is hard to copy because the substitutes that are already in place such as bikes and buses are not as reliable because a bike needs to be locked up and sometime the bike parking is not near the building or the busses do not stop next to every single building.

Secondly when this service becomes up and running the next opportunity to offer these jobs to the students to provide experience to college students. Offering these jobs to college students means that more employees are attending the service which means that the service will also run more efficiently.

Assuming that this product launched successfully the goal is to begin this service nation wide in other major colleges that have a big population that has parking problems. There are a lot of colleges that do not have enough parking spaces for the amount of students at the school which means that there is a need for this opportunity in most colleges. This fist venture achieves my goal because it will allow me to have this opportunity under my belt and I can then grow my entrepreneurship will greater opportunities now that I have this experience.

  1. Hey Alex, I can tell you put a lot of work into this and it truly shows. While reading I noticed that you are planning to make your service so efficient that it will be hard for anyone to compete and customers will have a hard time going with everyone else, I think that's a great tactic to both weaken competitors as well as build customer relations. I also saw that with the success at UF you plan to make your product go nationwide at major colleges and I believe that's a strong plan as other colleges will see how efficient your service does at other colleges and will want it at theirs.
